You might have seen a Yamaha BWS being ridden on the roads around your town already... but have you seen them being ridden in the jungles of Vietnam? Well, neither have I... but, by the looks of the beasts below, I'm sure they could handle that. If you're not prepared to go to Vietnam, however, you can get a BWS from your local dealer and modify it to handle terrain you only thought mountain goats could handle.
Outdoorsy scooter-types have been known to put extra-knobby tires on their BWS in order to handle all types of terrain. As you can see in the pictures below, they also like to put on a really skinny front tire in order to slice through mountain foliage better (well, whatever's on the ground). I thought a fatter tire would work better, though, as it wouldn't dig into the dirt as much? Anyway... I guess they know what they're doing, since they all seem to be doing it.
Amongst the pictures, you can also see a popular modification which is the handlebar mod. People just take the huge plastic head (for lack of a better term) off their scooter (only on scooters where the headlight is located on the body, rather than handlebars) and replace it with some clean-looking metal.
