I've been researching online about how to do a pop-a-wheelie on a scooter and have only come up with three methods:
1. Hold down the front brake, rev the engine like mad and then let go of the brake.
2. Just give it full throttle and the front will lift up.
3. Go over a speed bump really fast and jerk the scooter up.
So basically, these methods didn't work for me and so I asked around. My current mechanic, however, told me that any scooter - even an underpowered one like mine - could be wheels a poppin'. He said it was all in the technique and that the lifting of the tire takes place at the beginning... hmm... unlike a powerful motorcycle that does a wheelie at any point during the ride, eh?
I thus grabbed my scooter handles firmly, with feet on the floor, leaned back while pulling the scooter up and gave it a lot of throttle. Lo-and-behold, the front end lifted up and immediately slammed back down. Well, do the same thing again and give it a bit more throttle and it stays in the air longer. I suppose that with enough throttle and the right balance, you could have it going down the street on one wheel.
Here is a video demonstrating this technique (although, the dude failed!):

As for me, I haven't been able to perfect my technique, because my scooter literally broke in half. I'll tell the story soon! I do suspect, however, that slamming down the front of the scooter when trying to do the wheelie partly caused my scooter to break in half. Damn it, I don't have a scooter now.
